Chief Finance Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership within the insurance industry. This role is responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and profitable growth. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to guide financial decision-making and strengthen overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• -> Develop and execute our financial strategy in line with business objectives

• -> Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, solvency, and long-term sustainability

• -> Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial reporting

• -> Ensure accurate and timely IFRS-compliant financial statements

• -> Manage cash flow, liquidity, investments, and capital adequacy

• -> Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, solvency requirements, and tax laws

• -> Oversee premium recognition, claims reserving, and reinsurance accounting

• -> Partner with underwriting and actuarial teams to improve profitability

• -> Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives

• -> Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks

• -> Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections

• -> Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team

• -> Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, banks, and reinsurers

Must Haves

• -> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• -> Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent
• -> 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within the insurance sector
• -> Strong knowledge of insurance finance, solvency requirements, and IFRS
• -> Proven experience in financial strategy, reporting, and risk management
• -> Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
